Wildcats Split NBC Dual Matches

12/14/16 - The middle school wrestling team split dual meets at a Northern Buckeye Conference tri-meet hosted by Eastwood.  The Wildcats posted a 45-39 win over Eastwood and lost, 54-30, to Genoa.  Four wrestlers won two matches.  Eighth-grader Travis Diehl had a decision in the Eastwood match and a forfeit against Genoa in the 245-pound weight class, eighth-grader Colby Pendleton won both his matches by decision at 205 pounds, seventh-grader Casey Cousino pinned his Eastwood opponent and won by forfeit against Genoa at 116 pounds, and seventh-grader Landon Emch pinned his Eastwood opponent and won by forfeit against Genoa at 92 pounds.  Other wrestlers who picked up wins in the Eastwood match included eighth-grader Dillen Mangus by forfeit at 80 pounds, seventh-grader Blake Almroth by pin at 98 pounds, eighth-grader Josh Hazel by forfeit at 128 pounds, and seventh-grader David Galvan by forfeit at 142 pounds. Winner in the Genoa match included eighth-grader Mikey Brzeczek who won by pin at 160 pounds.
