Wildcats Drop Close Home Meet

4/26/17 - The track and field team lost a close decision at home to Elmwood in a Northern Buckeye Conference dual meet, 65.5 to 57.5.  The Wildcats had three individual winners and they won two relays.  Brooke Allen (8th grade) won the shot put competition with a toss of 28-7 1/2, Ava Beam (8th grade) won the 1600 with a time of 6:05.3, and Greta Bauder took the 800 with a time of 2:50.2.  The 800 relay foursome of Makenna Book (8th grade), Bauder, Paige Travis (8th grade), and Samantha Schaub (8th grade) won in a time of 2:04.8 while the 1600 relay group of Allen, Beam, Olivia Thatcher (8th grade), and Sidney Wank (7th grade) won in a time of 5:07.1.  Earning second-place points was: Julia Cable (8th grade) in the high jump (3-9), Sidney Gillig (8th grade) in the pole vault (6-0), Wank in the 100 hurdles (19.3) and 200 hurdles (34.6), Travis in the 100 (14.6), and Thatcher in the 1600 (6:06.9) and 800 (2:51.2).
