Girls Second in Home Tri-Meet

5/3/17 - The girls track and field team won six events to finish with 60.6 points, second to Genoa, which had 85.3 points in a home tri-meet.  St. Wendelin finished with 10 points.  Winning events was Ava Beam (8th grade) in the 1600 (5:51.0), Greta Bauder (8th grade) in the 400 (1:08.4) and 200 (30.6), Olivia Thatcher (8th grade) in the 800 (2:42.5), Julia Cable (8th grade) in the high jump (3-10), and Sidney Gillig (8th grade) and Autumn Beaudoin (7th grade) in the pole vault (5-0).  Earning second-place points was: Thatcher in the 1600 (5:56.0), Sidney Wank (7th grade) in the 200 hurdles (35.7), and Beam in the 800 (2:44.6).  The 400 relay team of Paige Travis (8th grade), Gillig, Beaudoin, and Brooke Allen (8th grade) were second in a time of 1:01.8.  The 1600 relay team of Wank, Beam, Thatcher, and Bauder was second running a time of 4:54.5.
