Girls Win Streak Invite; Boys Finish Sixth

9/22/18 - The middle school girls cross country team won the Streak Invitational hosted by St. Joseph Central Catholic at Walsh Park in Fremont while the boys placed sixth.  The girls finished with 39 team points to finish ahead of the eight-team field as eighth-grader Olivia Vogelpohl won the race with a time of 12:41.89.  Eighth-grader Macey Bauder placed fourth with a time of 13:25.01 while eighth-grade teammate Jordan Beam was fifth running 13:27.81.  The Wildcats had four runners finish between 15th and 20th.  Seventh-grader Molly McCarthy placed 15th in 14:29.47, seventh-grader Emma Hammer was 16th in 14:29.86, seventh-grader Emily Kerecz was 19th in 14:45.89, and seventh-grader Madison Hammer was 20th running 14:46.84.  Seventh-grader Kylie Cordy was 25th in 15:08.90 and seventh-grader Lily Myers placed 47th in 17:20.49.  The boys team had 137 points and was paced by seventh-grader Lance Overmyer who finished second in the race with a time of 11:35.67.  Seventh-grader Gabe Garcia was 23rd in 13:19.52, eighth-grader Richard Torres was 34th in 13:38.13, seventh-grader Brendan Hammer was 60th in 16:22.40, eighth-grader Logan Hernandez was 68th in 18:16.30, and seventh-grader Camden Knepper placed 69th in 18:18.14.
