Girls Are NBC Champs; Boys Are Second; Both Have League Individual Champion

10/13/18 - The girls cross country team captured the NBC championship at the league meet hosted by Genoa while the boys team finished second.  The girls had 19 points to finish ahead of Eastwood (54) and Genoa (63).  The boys team had 58 points to finish behind only Genoa (24 pts.).  Both teams had the individual winner of the league race.  Eighth-grader Olivia Vogelpohl won the girls race with a time of 12:44.89 while seventh-grader Lance Overmyer was the boys champion with a time of 11:39.50.  Eighth-grader Macey Bauder finished second in the girls race with a time of 13:22.65 as Woodmore put six runners in the top 10.  Eighth-grader Jordan Beam was fourth in 13:39.71, seventh-grader Emma Hammer was fifth in 13:55.70, seventh-grader Madison Hammer was seventh in 14:03.51, and seventh-grader Molly McCarthy was ninth in 14:10.79.  Seventh-grader Emily Kerecz was 11th in 14:11.23, seventh-grader Kylie Cordy was 16th in 14:51.27, and seventh-grader Lily Myers was 26th in 15:49.92.  On the boys side, seventh-grader Gabe Garcia placed seventh in a time of 12:43.69 and eighth-grader Richard Torres was ninth in a time of 12:58.95.  Eighth-grader Brendan Hammer was 27th in 15:43.21, eighth-grade Logan Hernandez was 33rd in 16:12.44, and seventh-grader Camden Knepper was 42nd in 17:55.40.
