Wildcats Win Tri-Meet at Home

4/17/17 - The track and field team won a tri-meet at home with Hopewell-Loudon and Fostoria.  Woodmore had 68.5 team points followed by Hopewell-Loudon with 59.5 and Fostoria totaled 23 points.  Woodmore won six events with Aaron Sandrock (8th grade) winning two.  He won the 110 hurdles in 18.8 and the 200 hurdles in 29.4.  Aaron Wagner (8th grade) took the shot put with a best of 34-2 1/2, Colby Pendleton (8th grade) won the discus with a toss of 106-3, Cameron Overmyer won the pole vault clearing 9-0, and Ethan McNair (8th grade) took the high jump clearing 4-9.  Earning second-place points was: Luke Travis (7th grade) in the 110 hurdles (19.0) and 100 (12.6), C.J. Buchanan in the 1600 (5:29.9) and 800 (2:37.3), Zane Willis (7th grade) in the 200 (28.9), Pendleton in the shot put (28-11), Kayden Widman (8th grade) in the discus (104-0), McNair (8th grade) in the long jump (14-2), and Sandrock in the high jump (4-6).  The 1600 relay foursome of Christian Shope (8th grade), Buchanan, Weston Angel (8th grade), and Willis were second in a time of 4:40.3.
